Following the success of last year, we will be hosting another Coffee Morning on Friday 25th November to celebrate Garrod Day. Garrod Day is a national AKU awareness day, coined by the AKU Society to celebrate Sir Archibald Garrod's birthday, who discovered AKU, the world's first genetic disease back in 1902. To mark the occasion, we will be hosting a Coffee Morning in our offices, with lots of cakes, hot drinks and our very own charity raffle.
We are asking our supporters to get involved and host their very own Coffee Morning to celebrate the big day. This is the perfect opportunity for you to get together with friends and family, share some delicious bakes and raise lots of money and awareness for AKU. We will even supply you with your very own Coffee Morning Toolkit, giving you lots of information, tips and AKU decorations for your bakes! For more information or to request a Coffee Morning toolkit, email [email protected].
